MUSIC
Here are a few mp3's of some of my tunes. All are works in progress and were recorded in my home studio, I played most of the parts except where noted.
Some of the pieces are simply vehicles for improvisation or demonstrations of new pieces of kit.
SUMMER DAZE
This was going to be an exercise for one of my students, but I liked it too much. A bit of a Stevie Ray Vaughan/Hendrix vibe to this one. Always loved that chordal/lead approach as in Little Wing or Lennie.
INTERLUDE
Just quickly threw this together in response to Adam and Lee complaining I hadn't posted any new tunes for a while.

HEAVENLEA
A solo improvisation, me playing with a few chords. Instead of agonising over something for ages I thought i'd just play something live and be done with it.
Thought I'd develop this by posting a fresh take every few weeks or so - might make me do some practice !! heavenlea.mp3
HEAVENLEA take 2
This time improvised over the chords, a duet with myself?

OFFPAT/11b9
Had this tune knocking about forever, never quite made my mind up what to do with it. Used my Gibson hummingbird for the acoustic melody and chords and my 335 for the electric harmony parts.
Brendan O'Connor supplied some great bass on some of the tune(from where the drums kick in halfway through). offpat/11b9.mp3
SWING SHIFT/BROWN SUGAR
Something about this track always reminded me of D'Angelo's Brown Sugar, so I played a few quotes from it on the organ.

TOO TEMPTING
Just bought myself a Vox Tonelab for recording my guitar with, really like it so far. This is the first thing I recorded on the day I bought it, inspired by the Textrem patch. too tempting.mp3
